OPEN POSITIONS:

Graphic Designer

Peaty’s Products | Rider-owned | Small team, big output.

Tired of the boom and bust of freelance life? Or being an unappreciated cog in the corporate machine? Well, come and join us at Peaty’s and help us build something special. A rider-owned business with a work hard, play hard culture to the core, Peaty’s are growing at a fast pace and now need an experienced graphic designer / illustrator to help take us to the next level.

We build mountain bike products that work, branding that stands out, and content that actually converts. We’re looking for a senior-level designer who wants real ownership, not just making things look pretty, but making them work.

This is a high-trust role with loads of freedom. You’ll be our in-house design lead, owning projects end-to-end, shaping creative direction, and making sure our visuals consistently drive understanding, desire, and sales.

The role

You’ll take a brief (or create it), build smart concepts, lead feedback, iterate quickly, and deliver final assets ready to ship across web, ads, social, packaging, print, and more.

You’re the type of designer who asks “What are we trying to achieve?” before opening Adobe.

What you’ll do

  • Own design projects end-to-end: discover to brief to concept to review to iterate to deliver.
  • Extract the brief by interviewing stakeholders (sales, product, marketing, ecomm) and turning fuzzy input into clear direction.
  • Create campaign and product launch assets: ads, banners, emails, landing pages, PDP graphics, social content.
  • Design engaging emails and templates that foster community, drive sales, and educate customers.
  • Develop packaging and product visuals that communicate benefits fast and feel unmistakably Peaty’s.
  • Produce illustration and iconography to explain product function, setup, tech, and brand story.
  • Maintain and evolve brand consistency while keeping it fresh.
  • Run tight feedback sessions and keep projects moving without hand-holding.
  • Deliver final files cleanly: print-ready artwork, web exports, organised source files, sensible version control.

What success looks like

In your first 30 days you’ll learn the range, brand, tone, templates, and workflow and start getting stuck in.

By 60 days you’ll be running projects independently and improving how we brief and review.

By 90 days you’ll feel like a one-person design department, spotting gaps, proposing work, and raising the bar across brand and performance.

You’ll be a strong fit if you…

  • Have proven experience as a graphic designer (and ideally illustrator) with a strong portfolio.
  • Can create your own brief and clarify objectives, audience, hierarchy, and constraints.
  • Understand design for conversion: clarity, scanability, calls to action, and layout.
  • Are confident leading stakeholders and turning mixed opinions into decisions.
  • Can juggle multiple projects while keeping quality high.
  • Are advanced in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Figma is a bonus.

Nice to have

  • Motion graphics or basic video editing (After Effects, Premiere).
  • Familiarity with MTB culture and the audience.
  • Experience with Shopify and ecomm workflows.

What we offer

  • Remote, home-based role (UK).
  • High autonomy, direct access to decision-makers, fast-moving team.
  • Freedom to shape the brand with real responsibility and trust.
  • Salary dependent on experience.

Apply

Send your CV and portfolio to design@peatys.co.uk.

In your email, answer these quick questions:

  1. Link 1 to 3 projects where you created or reshaped the brief and explain how.
  2. Show something designed to drive action. What was the goal and what did you learn?
  3. How do you run feedback when stakeholders disagree?
  4. What tools and workflow do you use to stay organised?

Deadline: Friday 30th January
