WHY DID WE MAKE IT?
After several months of selling sealant, we discovered that 90% of customer service inquiries were related to issues with valves or tape. We realized we needed to create something better to reduce setup problems and give people an overall improved experience with our tubeless system.
Every aspect of this tape is designed with purpose—from the bespoke adhesive to the wide-gauge core for easier application. This truly is the bees’ knees!
We thought it would be easy… We wanted an adhesive strong enough to create a reliable seal, the ability to print on the tape, and just the right amount of stretch to ensure it conforms easily to the rim bed.
BESPOKE ADHESIVE
It’s easy to achieve a reliable seal by using a super strong adhesive, but if it’s too strong it won’t peel off the roll. It will also peel the print off the top side of the tape and leave a ton of impossible-to-clean gunk behind when removed from the rim.
To use a strong adhesive, and ensure the tape peels off itself on the roll, you can use a release coat on the top surface. This prevents the adhesive from sticking to the top surface of the tape below so it can be easily and cleanly removed. If the release coat is too strong, however, then the tape will never stick to itself when it’s overlapped again on the rim. It’s not an easy balance!
The resulting tape has a high tensile strength film primed with a bespoke adhesive.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove tyre and any old rim tape - Use Disc brake cleaner to remove any grease.
- Clean and degrease rim thoroughly, ensuring rim is completely dry before application.
- Starting two spokes behind the valve hole, press tape firmly into the centre of the rim and smooth out to the edges, removing any trapped air.
- Run tape around the rim while keeping tape tension, finishing two spoke holes beyond the valve hole.
- Check for any trapped air underneath the rim tape - push air bubbles out to a spoke hole to remove
- Use a small spike to pierce the tape in the centre of the valve hole.
- Remove dust cap, lock ring and o-ring then push valve stem through the valve hole.
- Re-apply the o-ring and apply lock ring tightly by hand, ensuring there are no air gaps.
- Refit tyre, add Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant.
- Inflate tyre to desired pressure.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you have 30 days to return your items to us.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Please ensure they are packaged appropriately to avoid damage during transit.

Looks good and a lot easier to apply than the other brands I have tried in the past. Turns out all tape isn’t the same. Ran for a few weeks now. Had tyre off and on and the taped stayed in tact. Can’t fault it.

Having previously used peatys rim tape on my old rims I knew what I wanted on my new wheels. I have used different branded tape before with not much luck .but this tape goes on like a dream. hands down the best tape I have used if you want a professional job that does what it says I would 100% recommend this

This tape was super easy to apply, as strong as it needed to be and hasn't resulted in any leaks. It pulled back with the right amount of tension and stretch to curve in my rim. Great value and recommended over other brands.

This rim tape is a huge improvement on the last rim tape from Peaty’s! It goes on like a dream with lots of stick and plenty of stretch. Tyres popped on first time. Time will tell what its like to remove but initial impressions are that this is a real premium quality rim tape.

Not sure why anyone has had a negative experience with this, good adhesion to a rim that has been well cleaned and degreased. Enough stretch and strong enough to get sufficient tension when applying it to avoid air bubbles. No leakage of air when tyre is fitted and inflated. Totally happy with this product.
